Jack Frost is officially 100% open!  GM Mark Daubert just informed me of the great news.  All 21 trails and 7 tubing chutes will be open for the holiday weekend!
Key Snowmaking Supervisor Dippy Schoch reports that Jack Frost Mountain is 100% open in on 15 snowmaking days with our SMI machines compared to 30 snowmaking days in previous years with old snowmaking technology.

we've got a great relationship with the folks at PAskiandride.com, and one of my favorite things to do after a long day's work is to read some of the posts on there.  Well I was browsing today and saw some AWESOME shots from the user "phillycore" of him, pa ridge racer, serch and some other PAskiandride'rs blasting down the elevator and the elevator glade. 

I added some of his shots to the media section!

With the bluebird sky and no trees, these shots could be in Europe or out West! But it's here in PA!!

As i wright this blog I am writhing on the floor from eating a taco salad as big as my head. Guido also attempted the undertaking. It was awesome and I suggest everyone eat what Winny makes each and every day. Here is a photo for proof as i dont even believe it.

Update from the GM at Jack Frost

East Mountain is opening tomorrow Sunday December 20 with Lightning, River Shot and Sno Chute.

With a little help from Mother Nature we are getting dumped on and are hoping to be 100% open for the holiday. Snowtubing will open 10am on Saturday December 26-wooooooooo!

Jack Frost Mountain's snowguns are pounding East Mountain.  the snowmakers are pushing to get it open this weekend. 
 
GM Mark Daubert just told me over 150 guns are running right now, with an ideal temp of 24 and very low humidity.

Jack Frost GM Mark Daubert just told me Saturday's snow was the best for opening day he's ever seen!  I would have to agree.  the snowmakers and groomers did an unbelieveable job getting the driest snow possible down on the slopes.

Snowmaking starts back up tonight once the weather dips back down, so look for more terrain to open by the weekend. 

We should be 100% open by Christmas!
